This man's insurance bill increased by more than 500 per cent and his home is not in a flood zone

When Dean Robertson opened the insurance renewal notice for his home in western Victoria, he received a rude shock. His home and contents coverage was just shy of $2,000, while the remainder of his $10,400 bill was for potential flood damage.
