Sydney developer cops $45k fine after destroying oak tree

A Sydney property developer lodged an appeal in court after being fined $3,000 by City of Canterbury Bankstown for destroying an oak tree. A council officer found excavation work at the builder's Revesby construction site had compromised the structural stability of the tree.
