Rosebery mine seeks federal approval for alternative tailings dam site

Global mining company MMG has long been seeking to build a third tailings storage dam at its mine on the Tasmanian west coast, in the face of strong opposition from environmentalists. It's now put forward an alternative which conservationists say they won't fight.
