The Malaysian Government has slashed its budget allocation for public universities in the recently released 2017 budget. Half of the public universities in Malaysia face drastic cuts to their operating budget, which may spur interest from public universities to leverage borderless teaching and learning collaboration opportunities to remain competitive.
