Inventor of new lithium-ion battery responds to skepticism

John Goodenough, 94, a professor at the University of Texas and co-inventor of the original lithium-ion battery, responded to skeptics who say his technology for a new, safer, lithium-ion battery appears on the surface to defy the laws of thermodynamics.
