Amazon unsuccessfully approached UK supermarket Waitrose in 2017: Sunday Times

LONDON (Reuters) - Amazonmade an unsuccessful informal attempt to buy upmarket British supermarket chain Waitrose late last year, the Sunday Times newspaper reported.
