Middlesbrough sack Karanka as assistant Agnew steps up

LONDON (Reuters) - Middlesbrough sacked manager Aitor Karanka on Thursday and handed the Spaniard's assistant Steve Agnew the pressing task of trying to keep the relegation-threatened club in the Premier League.
