Wikimedia Community Votes Against Crypto Donations Citing Environmental Concerns

Roughly 71 percent of Wikimedia contributors have voted against the foundation accepting donations in the form of cryptocurrencies. The environmental concerns linked to cryptocurrencies has been cited as one of the main reasons why Wikimedia members, who support ‘sustainability’, did not want to be associated with the crypto sector.
