The fight for life requires conviction

Last week, the NSW Legislative Council voted down the Abortion Law Reform Amendment (Sex Selection Prohibition) Bill 2025 at its second reading 21-16. The bill would have prohibited abortion for the purpose of sex selection and given legal force to a principle already recognised in NSW policy. Its defeat was deeply disappointing.
