Vincenzo Grifo extends contract with Freiburg

Freiburg’s record goalscorer with 108 strikes in all competitions, Grifo has racked up 360 competitive appearances for Die Breisgauer since joining the club for the first time in 2015.
The 33-year-old captained Freiburg on their first European final appearance last season, donning the armband as Julian Schuster’s side lost the UEFA Europa League showpiece to Aston Villa in Istanbul.
